nxConstraints - Collisions

A layer that provides particle to particle collisions, keeping particles from intersecting.

A dynamic spring is created between overlapping particles to push them apart. Add it from the + menu in the nxConstraints Layers list, then select the layer to show these settings.

The Collisions layer settings

Sets how much this layer contributes to the overall constraint solution. With a single layer this can be left at its default, 100%. When you combine collisions with other layers you can raise this above 100% to keep the collisions firm as the other layers blend in.

How stiff the collision is. In effect, a dynamic spring keeps the particles apart so they do not intersect. Higher values resist overlap more firmly. Defaults to 100%.

To stop particles bouncing endlessly off one another, add a Friction layer alongside the collisions.
