Changelog
What has changed in NeXus for Blender, newest release first.
NeXus keeps itself up to date from the Updates section of the add-on preferences, covered in Installation and Licensing. Only changes from the 2026.0.0 release onward are listed here.
2026.0.1
Section titled “2026.0.1”Released 16th July 2026
- Per-emitter particle count in the viewport HUD. With Particle Count enabled in the HUD tab, a new Per Emitter toggle breaks the total down per emitter, listing each emitter by name with its own count. See NeXus Hierarchy.
- Motion blur for generator instances. In Geometry mode, nxGenerator instances now pick up native motion blur in EEVEE and Cycles, following each particle across the shutter. See nxGenerator.
- Filter the particle console by emitter. A new toolbar dropdown narrows every readout to a single emitter, or leave it on All Emitters for the whole population. See Particle Console.
- #8430 Operator tooltips were missing from the packaged add-on
- #8431 Particles could render from stale object data
- #8433, #8434, #8435 nxSheeter fill could run away instead of settling to an even fill
- #8438 nxFoam could sink under gravity when lofted above the surface
- #8439 nxFluids granular clumps could explode on emission
- #8440 Console and other NeXus windows could vanish on a second display or in fullscreen
- #8444 nxCache retime could not be set to fractional frames
- #8445 nxCache reported disk size and frame count for other caches, not just its own
- #8446 nxFoam with inherited display could draw when not routed to an output emitter
